BURLE utilizes the latest in quality
control techniques, X-ray measuring equipment, and experienced
production and technical personnel to provide Plating Services
to outside firms as well as BURLE Tube Products manufacturing.
At BURLE, quality control is an
integral part of the plating operation. The methods used to
prepare, purify, operate, and monitor each bath are controlled
by BURLEs Engineering Standards. Specific limits for required
chemical content as well as excessive contamination levels are
detailed for each one of them. Engineering Standards require
regular periodic analysis to be performed to assure that each
bath composition is within specifications. Thickness of plated
parts is measured using x-ray fluorescent, Demitron, and
Beta Backscan. A wide variety of materials can be measured using
standards traceable to the National Inst. of Standards and Technology
(NIST). BURLEs inspection and documentation procedures
insure product traceability. Calibration and inspection are
periodically verified by BURLE's quality control personnel.
Calibrations conform to MIL-STD-45662A, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, and
ISO10012-1.

Alternatively, BURLE is able to
establish new test baths and procedures for new product development
to assure a smooth transition into production.
BURLE Plating Service is also expanding
its presence as a plater of ceramics, piezo materials, and other
synthetics. These successful processes have evolved over our
long history in the electron tube industry and are now benefiting
companies in the ceramics, ultrasonic imaging, and medical systems
fields.
Finally, our modern and highly
efficient waste treatment facility insures that all industrial
wastes are being treated properly in accordance with local,
state, and federal regulations.
